Greetings from Malawi! It is winter here in Malawi right now, but we hope you are all enjoying the summer season in Canada. The evenings and nights here in Lilongwe are surprisingly cool, but during the day it is warm as always.
One of our favourite scriptures is Proverbs 3:5,6:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths!”
And that is exactly what we are seeing God do in our lives and at the Village of Hope! We have just completed the first month ‘on our own’ overseeing the Village of Hope. It has been a month of challenge and fulfillment. We accepted two more malnourished orphans into a Village of Hope family, Richard (8) and Pemphero (2). Their Grandfather was so grateful when he saw the homes his grandchildren were being adopted into. He assured us of his prayers as he left to return to his village. We have accepted 7 new children since the beginning of April and we now are providing a Christian home for 50 children!
